Most people don't get Tom Waits and perhaps that is why I like his music so much. It connects with me on levels that people don't seem to understand as I tend not to understand most people(their taste in music, anyway). But that is part of the allure for me. Its like my own(relatively) private style that is difficult to reproduce, like Waits' voice.



The trick I'm undertaking is to find an artist from the list provided that I think most closely relates to the music of Tom Waits. Or, if Tom had to pick an artist form the list, who would he choose? Here I go. *Deep Breath*
